PUBLIC HEALTH SPECIALIST (Full Time Position)

Central Racine County Health Department is recruiting for a full-time Public Health Specialist. This position provides project coordination for public health emergency preparedness and grant implementation, and this position works to prevent human health hazards and other diseases. The Public Health Specialist works in conjunction with environmental health, community health, and home visitation to promote health and prevent disease through a variety programs and trainings. Must be flexible and a self-starter, strong computer, data and organizational skills required. Work hours generally Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required for emergency preparedness and other work. Hourly salary with excellent benefits. Qualified applicants must be a graduate of a college or university of recognized standing with course work in public health, biology, chemistry, epidemiology or related field; public health experience preferred. Applicants with a high school diploma and extensive experience in the field of public health may be considered.

PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATOR (Full Time Position)

The Central Racine County Health Department is recruiting for a full-time Public Health Educator. This position applies public health principles to develop and implement strategies for and evaluation of public health programs related to health promotion, disease prevention, and health protection for individuals, families, and the community. Programs and services include those which address increased risk of illness, injury, premature death and disability such as maternal/child health, immunization, communicable disease, lead, childhood injury prevention, and health education. Must be flexible and a self-starter, strong computer and organizational skills required. Work hours generally Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Hourly salary with excellent benefits. Qualified applicants must possess: a Bachelor’s Degree with the course work in public health, biology, chemistry, community health education or related field; and a valid driver’s license.
