Childhood Vaccinations

RCPH provides free or low-cost vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program for children ages 18 and younger who meet one of the following:
- Have no health insurance
- Have Medicaid or are Medicaid-eligible
- Are American Indian or Alaskan Native

If your child has insurance, please contact your primary care provider for vaccines.

If your child's insurance does not cover all vaccines (underinsured), they can get vaccinated at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Pediatric (<19 years of age) immunizations are given by appointment only.

  • 2 vaccines - $25
  • 3 or more vaccines - $30
  • Badgercare/Medicaid: Fee exempt

Adult Immunizations

The Vaccines for Adults (VFA) program provides free or low-cost vaccines for adults aged 19 years and older who are uninsured or underinsured.
- You are uninsured if you do not have private health insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare.
- You are underinsured if you have health insurance, but it does not cover certain vaccines or it has a fixed dollar limit or cap for vaccines. Once that fixed dollar amount is reached, you are eligible for the VFA program.

If you have health insurance that covers vaccines, please schedule vaccinations with your primary care provider.

RCPH provides the following adult vaccinations:

  • Hep A/B (if certain risk factors are met)
  • Influenza (seasonal)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Polio
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • Varicella

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is an excellent source of information on travel vaccines, travel vaccine clinics, and current outbreak situations. Racine County Public Health Division does not have a specialized travel clinic. View more information on the wwwnc.cdc.gov website.
